Commercial Product Photography
Visual assets that convert viewers into customers. We provide technical precision and editorial aesthetics for e-commerce, catalogs, and brand identity in Edmonton.
Book a ShootIn the competitive landscape of digital commerce, the quality of your product imagery is the primary driver of trust and conversion. A product photograph is not merely a documentation of an object; it is a strategic tool designed to communicate quality, texture, and value. At Rhetoricbyte, we specialize in creating clean, high-resolution imagery that removes distractions and focuses entirely on the strengths of your product, ensuring that your online store reflects the actual quality of your craftsmanship.
Our approach combines technical mastery of light with a deep understanding of commercial requirements. Whether you are launching a new skincare line, showcasing complex industrial components, or building a comprehensive catalog for an online marketplace, we employ precise lighting setups to highlight contours and materials. By utilizing a professional white cyclorama and advanced Profoto equipment, we ensure consistency across your entire product range, making your brand look cohesive and professional across all platforms.
Our Workflow
Briefing & Technical Specs
We define the required angles, background colors, and final file formats. You provide the product list and specific details about textures or reflections that must be emphasized.
Product Receiving & Setup
Items are received at our Edmonton studio. We clean every surface to remove dust and fingerprints, then establish a lighting map tailored to the material of your product.
The Capture Phase
Using high-resolution sensors and precise tethering, we capture multiple variations of each item, ensuring sharp focus from foreground to background through focus stacking if necessary.
Post-Production & Delivery
Images undergo professional retouching to correct color accuracy and remove imperfections. Final assets are delivered via a secure online gallery for your review.
Who is this service for?
Our product photography is engineered for businesses that cannot afford visual ambiguity. This includes e-commerce entrepreneurs moving from amateur photos to professional catalogs, established brands requiring seasonal updates, and manufacturers of technical equipment where detail and accuracy are paramount. If your product relies on perceived quality, material feel, or precise dimensions to sell, professional studio capture is the necessary investment.
Technical Execution in the Studio
Every shoot begins with a material analysis. Reflective surfaces like glass or polished metal require a completely different lighting approach than matte plastics or fabrics. We use a combination of impulse and continuous lighting to control shadows and highlights. By manipulating the light's direction and softness, we create a three-dimensional feel on a two-dimensional screen, allowing the customer to "feel" the product through the image.
Client Preparation & Logistics
To ensure the efficiency of the shoot, clients are expected to provide products in their final retail packaging or in a pristine, unused state. Any specific requirements for the "hero" shot—such as specific props or arrangement styles—should be communicated during the briefing phase. For a detailed breakdown of how to send your items to our studio, please visit our shipping and packaging guide.
Deliverables and Final Assets
Upon completion, you receive a curated set of images. This includes high-resolution JPEG files suitable for print and optimized versions for web use (social media and e-commerce platforms). All images are delivered via a private online gallery available for 6 months. While we provide fully edited files, RAW images are not included in the standard package and are available only by separate written agreement.
Timelines and Delivery
Quality retouching takes time. Our standard delivery window is 10 business days from the date of the shoot. This allows our head of retouching to ensure color consistency across the entire batch. For urgent projects, please contact us during the booking phase to discuss expedited timelines, though our standard process remains the benchmark for quality.
Exclusions and Limitations
Please note that our standard product photography does not include professional styling of food or complex floral arrangements, nor does it include the sourcing of external models. The service focuses on the product itself. Any required specialized props not available in our studio must be provided by the client. Additionally, deep structural manipulation of the product via CGI is not part of this photography service.
Pricing Structure and Taxes
Our pricing is transparent and based on the complexity of the item. For B2B clients, we offer a payment term of 14 days. All prices listed are subject to the Alberta provincial sales tax (GST/PST) of 13%. We provide detailed invoices showing both the net amount and the final amount including tax to simplify your accounting process. For more general information on how we calculate costs, see our pricing guide.
